Tyler is the strongest and bravest person we've ever known and his personality, heart and spirit were never overshadowed by his illness.
(6/09-03) Tyler passed away on Monday June 9, 2003, in his mother's arms, embraced by his father, held by his brothers and surrounded by his family. As he lived his life bathed in love, so he left this world.

(6/07-03) Tyler went into the hospital today so he could receive IV fluids. The oral chemo he has been taking is making him sick and he has lost weight. He is expected to be in the hospital for twenty-four hours.

(6/03-02) They came back from Disney today and had a great time! They met lots of characters, took a LOT of pictures, went on rides and had a fun time. Pictures from the trip will be up soon. Tyler goes to clinic tomorrow for a check up and to get TPN because he didn't quite eat enough on his trip.

(5/29-03) Tyler went on splash mountain. They also went to the character breakfast and Brandon and Garret are having fun going on the rides!

(5/28-03) They left for Disney today! The BIG white limo arrived at 9 am to pick everyone up to take them to the airport. How exciting it was when the limo arrived! Tyler had a HUGE smile on his! The boys all looked like kings sitting in the back of the limo. They called from Florida after they arrived and are very happy with the accomodations. They have a beautiful house to stay in and arrived to find the fridge packed with food. Not a bad first day :o)

(5/23-03) Guess who's going to Disney! Brandon, Garret, Tyler and mom and dad are getting ready to leave for Disney on Wednesday! They are going through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Check back for pictures from the trip! www.makeawish.org

(5/13-03) Tyler went to Boston Children's hospital today to get his stored stem cells. The stem cells are to go to his bone marrow and repair it so he can get his blood counts up quicker. He did so well they are letting him go home today rather than spend the night. He also gained two pounds back and is eating again!
YOU ARE AWESOME!

(5/12-03) Tyler went into the hospital on Sunday. He had surgery on Monday to replace his central line. The surgery went very well, there were no complications and he was up in his room that afternoon.

(5/07-03) Guess who went home today!! Tyler (and mommie) are very happy to be home! On Monday, they are going to Boston Children's Hospital for treatment for one day.

(5/02-03) Tyler is having a cat scan today to prepare for his trip to California.

(4/21-03) Because of the last round of chemo Tyler lost his appetite and lost weight. He went back into the hospital on Monday so he can get better and get his blood counts back up. In a few weeks, he will be going to California for a new treatment!

(4/25-03) Tyler left the hospital today and is happy to be home agian. He is feeling pretty good and doing well :o)

(4/21-03) Tyler entered the hospital today, Monday, for chemo therapy. He will be in the hospital until at least Thursday.

(4/17-03) Tyler's blood counts are climbing faster now! He is set to start another round of chemo on Monday.

(4/06-03) Tyler has been enjoying being home as his blood counts continue to climb. It takes longer for them to come up the more chemo he has, but you wouldn't know it to talk to him!

(3/30-03) Tyler completed this round of chemo and did very well with it. Despite having a fever and needing antibiotics he handled the treatment very well!

(3/23-03) There's been a change of plans. Rather than going to Boston for the transplant Tyler will be undergoing an additional round of chemo therapy starting this Monday.

(3/12-03) Tyler had his third day of radiation today. He is doing a great job and it's going well. He's so brave he lays perfectly still during the treatment. He's awesome!

(3/06-03) Tyler left the hospital today!! Everyone is amazed by his strength and determination. He's so happy to be home! He's getting ready for his next treatment... several days of radiation followed by a week home, and then it's off to Boston for the bone marrow transplant.

(3/03-03) Guess who's sitting up, chatting, laughing, and playing just days after his surgery?! Tyler got to leave the ICU and return his room today and is doing amazingly well....way to go Tyler!

(2/29-03) Tyler had his surgery today. He did very well and the surgeons were able to remove apx. 95% of the primary tumor. He was awake, alert and talking after surgery and didn't need to be on a respirator! He is an amazing person (as we all know) and we're so PROUD of him!

(2/28-03) Tyler went into the hospital today to rest and prepare for surgery tomorrow.

(2/25-03) Tyler is enjoying time at home getting ready for his next trip to the hospital. His surgery is scheduled for Friday. He's having fun playing with his brothers, toys and video games and visiting with his family!
